Dogs bring so much joy to our lives. They motivate us to exercise, help us relax and remind us not to sweat the small stuff. But some dogs can be really hard to live with, especially when their behavior results in reactivity or aggression. They can be frustrating, time consuming, stressful and even embarrassing. If you are going through some tough times with your dog and are observing behavior associated with fear, anxiety or aggression, I can help.

I am one of just two IAABC Certified Dog Behavior Consultants in Montana, and my work utilizes a big-picture approach to best help your dog be successful in our complicated, modern world. I focus primarily on treating fear and aggression in dogs, and am more equipped to work these cases because it’s all I do! Together we will design thoughtful and individualized treatment plans including safety, manangement and behavior change strategies that encompass your specific dog’s preferences, genetic predispositions, previous training, your family, environment and daily lifestyle.

Behavior Change Plans are designed based on an easy, science-based approach and I always treat you and your dogs with respect and kindness. My approach focuses on reinforcing desirable behavior, utilizes humane training equipment & methods and we’ll always work at your dog’s pace to make the most progress in the shortest amount of time.

Throughout my career I have had the privilege of working with pets and people from all walks of life. I worked in shelters for over 19 years, traveled the country to rehabilitate dogs rescued from cruelty cases and now focus solely on helping dogs exhibiting signs of extreme fear and aggression. My education, professional certifications and ongoing training provides a wealth of knowledge and experience to help you understand your dog’s motivations and behavior, modify extreme behavior concerns and relieve stress for both of you. It can be difficult and frustrating to navigate the various opinions in the dog training industry but I’m here to help you find the path of least resistance to living peacefully with your dog.
