Private Coaching Sessions - for dogs exhibiting fear, anxiety or aggression
Currently scheduling for December
Stressed, frustrated or embarrassed by your pet’s behavior?
Struggling to walk your dog without her lunging or barking?
Not able to have guests over for dinner since adopting your new dog?
Have you stopped socializing with friends and family because of your dog’s concerning behavior?
Relieve stress and get your life back!
We’ll meet online for the first session or Consultation, and then we’ll meet in-person in your home, neighborhood or local park for session #2 and beyond. We’ll meet weekly or every other week, depending on your training goals, schedule, and your dog’s individual needs. I will design Management and Safety Plans to provide immediate relief from the concerning behaviors you have been observing and to also minimize risks and ensure everyone is safe and secure. We’ll spend the majority of our coaching sessions on an individualized Behavior Change plan, focusing on helping your dog practice the behaviors that work best for both of you, resulting in new habits and routines that meet both your and your dog’s needs.
Get started by following the steps below:
Fill out the Behavior and History Form to give me a good idea of your pet(s), family, concerns and goals.
You have two options for the next step. Start with either the Initial Behavior Consultation ($250 per 90-120 minute session) or a multi-session Behavior Change/Training Package ($145 per 60-75 minute sessions) focusing on treating behaviors associated with Fear or Aggression.
I recommend starting with a Behavior Consultation if you are observing intra-household dog aggression, resource guarding, extreme fear or aggression, or if your dog is from a cruelty or neglect situation. Together we’ll take a deep dive to identify the root causes of your dog’s behavior, discuss possible outcomes, develop a Management & Safety Plan (to provide immediate relief) and discuss what a Behavior Change/Training Plan will look like. In some mild cases, a single Consultation paired with a month of Email & Text Support may be enough to get you started, but most clients see the biggest benefit in combining the Behavior Consultation with a multi-session Behavior Change/Training package.
Alternatively, you can start immediately with a multi-session Behavior Change/Training package for dogs exhibiting mild to moderate fear or reactivity, for dogs who have not caused severe injury to another person or dog, or for behaviors more specific to certain breed groups like terriers, cattle dogs or bully breeds.
All Behavior Change/Training Packages are customized to meet your dog’s specific needs, depending on a variety of factors unique to you and your individual dog, but most dogs need a minimum of 4-6 sessions to get started. For some dogs and people this smaller package is enough, but many dogs need more time to address these tricky behaviors that are often rooted in emotions, previously learned behaviors and/or traumatic situations or events.
Read more about common behaviors and observations on the Fear or Aggression pages or email me for recommendations if you feel like your dog’s behaviors do not fit into one of the listed categories.
I will email you to get scheduled but feel free to reach out to me at blueskybehavior@gmail.com if you have additional information you wish to share. Please note that evenings and weekends are not currently available for training sessions.

Training packages include:
Session #1: An in-depth 60-75 minute session to gather additional details, determine why your dog is exhibiting specific behaviors, discuss prognosis and the training plan, answer questions and provide a foundational management plan to relieve some of the immediate stress. Initial sessions require more discussion time than subsequent sessions and are conducted via Zoom.
Sessions #2 and beyond: 60-75 minute private coaching sessions, meeting in-person in your home, yard, neighborhood or surrounding areas. In-person sessions available in Missoula, MT and surrounding areas. Clients outside of Missoula can continue sessions via Zoom, FaceTime or over the phone.
Supplemental materials including written treatment plans and recommendations, how-to documents with step-by-step instructions, tip sheets, demonstration videos and more.
Unlimited email/text communications throughout your training package.
Feedback and coaching on video submissions.
Motivational and emotional support throughout your training package. While my primary education is with dogs, I also really love humans and will be with you every step of the way. I know how hard this can be and have been there myself!
