Training plans just for the little dogs in your life!

If this is your first Little, welcome to the club! They’re adorable, portable and just…easier in a lot of ways. If you are a seasoned small dog person, you already know that it’s often the “basics”, the things we took for granted with our larger dogs, that can be so difficult for a small dog!

Since you’ve already landed on this page, it’s probably safe to assume you are experiencing any of the following with your small dog: snapping, hiding, cowering, evading, biting or just plain running away from you. If you are struggling with everyday routines like leashing, going for a walk, getting in the car, petting or just saying hello to your small dog, I can help. Listed below are common areas of concern and examples of topics we can cover in your training package.

  • A gray pit bull type dog with a blue harness, black sweater lays on the ground, looking away from the camera. There is also a rubber orange tug toy clipped to his harness that is hanging in front of him near his chest.

    Petting & Handling

Handling is tricky for a lot of small dogs, and we forget how much bigger we are! Topics may include everyday petting, brushing, acclimating to a harness or collar and putting on a jacket or sweater.

  • A black and white border collie type dog holds a green tennis ball close up in the picture. The background is blurry but shows grass, trees and mountains in the distance.

    Leshing & Moving

Leashing can be especially difficult for small dogs! Other areas commonly addressed are leash walking, getting up & down from furniture, entering & and riding in the car.

  • A white terrier with scruffy hair and erect ears sits and looks at the camera. She is wearing a black harness.

    Out & About Safety

There is a lot we can do to help our small dogs when out in the world. Common topics include greeting new people, safety around off-leash dogs and navigating our crazy world.
